Life after death
Does it exist?
It would be a comfort to believe
A comfort I must resist
You may say I'm a pessimist
But listen to this,
If life after death exists
who can prove it?
Who can tell us they've seen it,
Heaven that is.
Is it what they say?
Above the clouds and hidden away?
If it is can you take me there today?
Or do I have to pray.
Pray to a god in which I do not believe
Pray words I do not mean
Pray lies.
No. I shall just die.
Simple as that.

Your going somewhere, that's for sure lol! But good people are good people, they have good energy, I believe in life after death, live a good life is all I can say and the rest will happen as it must. One thing I'd like to leave you with if I may? The calling to the heavens, that hope, that other worldly thing, the luck, the chance these are things outside ourselves we call upon to assist us, this is spirituality, the supernatural. from this the world survives through the harshest terrors, however mis guided, this is the act of faith that you are not working alone... It is there for you whether you want it to be or not, the choice is completely yours, heaven and hell are just earthly connotations. There is no such thing as pure good or evil, only pure ignorance this is why it is bliss... :) wow! Long time since I've spread my philosophical wings! Thanks! Good write! Cheers SS

Dear Unfaithed
Believe in yourself then. So many do not, even the faith professing. I believe in God differently, more secularly. No up above, not down below mythos, only me believing enough to get thorugh the next minute without screaming. At 62 I've heard, seen, felt an enormity of other people shoving their belief systems down my throat, sledge hammering it into my head...Inside I turned it off, let it flow through and beyond me. I, like you, have my own ideas thank you. Nice writing, we need desperately to hear more of the Athiestic View - Defyer of Systems - LOL - Lady A

I agree with you. I do need to believe more in myself. I'm horribly lacking in the self-esteem area. I constantly doubt myself. But yes, I agree with what I think you're trying to say. Everyone doesn't have to believe in the same thing, but everyone should believe in something even if its theirselves.
