2007 Traveling Alone

I travel alone today
One set of eyes to see
new sights that pass by,
One set of ears to hear
unfamiliar sounds
With no one to share.

 

New adventure alone,
Is but half the fun
without other eyes and ears
and someone
to share the sights and sounds together.

Author's Notes/Comments: 

This was my first vacation since 2004 without my grandson accompanying me.  In the larger sense, it could be about his grandmother who is no longer with me.

True words. Funny thing in life, everyone needs a little time alone. But it's easy to overdose.
