Your sweet smile lingers by the bedside,

Dreaming of all that could be,

The future, hanging just out of reach,

In a place where our eyes cannot see.

As the rain rolls softly down the window

The clocks keep ticking our time away,

We don't want to say it's forever,

Each wishing so much we could stay.

Because we're spiraling down,

We're spiraling now,

Sinking through the hourglass,

The best days of our lives.

And we've tried so hard,

We've fought so much

Can't give up or throw it away. 

Well the whistling wind calls out to me,

As the sun, she struggles to shine,

And the concrete's cold beneath my feet,

As I wander throughout the world blind.

For the twisting, drifting paths of life,

Conspired to keep us apart.

Although you're gone I've got to say

You'll live forever in my heart,

Because we're spiraling down,

We're spiraling now,
