Shedding the Mask

Calm outward veneer,

Porcelain finely crafted,

A cultivated image.

Beneath it lurks a

Devious mind filled

With luxurious pleasures and

Warm silken treasures

Not left on display,

Merely hinted at.

Yet often are found

Draperies, fabrics

Pooled loosely on

The ground, left

And there forgotten.

Abandoned

In order to wear

Another's skin.

Another Gem

among gems. Invisibility vs facade - and the real revealed/exposed - enjoyed this one too. Hope you are succeeding in all you do. ~allets~
