yesternight

i wish i could just turn this off,
flip a switch,
the crackle of infinity shutters to a murmur.
i wont pretend to know how all the pieces fit
but times been whipping around to freely lately.
i been watching the dried up grass sway in the wind
how sad to find a metaphor for ones self in such a place.
everyone notices your eyes say more then your mouth dares,
sanity dripping out like a leaking sieve
onto ruby stones.
sloshed memories,
newly understood designs to the path,
concrete blocks for feet.
who wasted time?

Another good one!

I especially found a connection in these lines, "i been watching the dried up grass sway in the wind
how sad to find a metaphor for ones self in such a place.
everyone notices your eyes say more then your mouth dares,"
There are all levels of trauma in life that can inspire this. As a survivor, here's hoping that yours will see the grass soon green and your eyes bright.
