Crafting Inimitable Contrivances
Watching screenlit flickers we wonder:
when reflections warp and phantom shapes emerge,
what do we whisper before they rise—
They fill our minds with borrowed film-noir riffs,
raining crafted shadows over lamppost glimmers,
our pens staging dark choruses at midnight,
dramaturgy of contrivances spun from fear.
Our hearts drum a blaring piano forte
in fluorescent aisles and ghosted dorms—
each polite smile cracks like a winding gear;
our undoing: inimitable contrivances.
