Abyss of Despair

Confusion controls my mind,

Controlling my actions time after time

In the darkest hour of the night,

Where other mortals have their fright,

I scream.

Pain everlasting haunts me still,

So like the lonely ghost by the old mill,

Upon the once great flowering hill.

The brightest sunshine can not even penetrate,

the very deepest horror of my sad state.

I ask myself when it, with my blessings, ends.

And, with no answer, I hurt my friends.

Author's Notes/Comments:
