They save people from dying.

The give up their lives

So the people they help

Can live, survive.

They do all they can

To give people aid.

They give people courage

When they are afraid.

They may be a stranger,

A neighbor or friend,

But every good hero

Stays there till the end.

Author's Notes/Comments:

This poem is dedicated to those who lost their lives on September 11 and after trying to save people, all heroes who have died throughout the years, and heroes that are living now. They are the real people we should thank for getting us through hard times.
