Puppy Love

I still remember the first day I picked you up
Round little belly, floppy eared little pup
We went to the pet store for food and a collar
Spent a pretty penny, but you were worth every dollar
You were scared in the car and pooped in my backseat
Moved you up front in my lap, could feel your heartbeat
Now your hair is turning grey, your hips are aching
I love you more each day though my heart is breaking
I know soon you'll leave me for a cloud in the sky
But we have more mountains to climb before I say goodbye

-Ode to my Lulu

Tears are running down my

Tears are running down my face, as I watch my 11 1/2 year old St. Bernard... knowing but not wanting.  Cherishing every possible moment for the bond we have is irreplaceable.  TY

Being a pet owner is beautifully bitter sweet.

this line is a sweet and innocent way to take

some of the sting away from that aspect of it.

So U Convinced Me

Now I want a dog. Had three as a kid; Queenie, Hercules (Herky), and Mr. Winks - Winkie, who was a gift, a toy fox terrier too big for show, and a cat named Winifred.
