Mother Earth
The ground shook, such a sweet hollow sound
of Mother Earth burning beneath the ground
Her screams aplenty, with flashes of red
wishing for the pain to cease even if it meant death
her tears came down in the form of rain
to ease her suffering and her pain
and after they opened, those spheres of pure blue
she looked upon the world anew
sorrowed by the image, she began to make haste
for to leave humans to suffer would be such a waste
so step by small step, with a tear in her eye
she rebuilt herself, from the safety of the sky.
