The answer to that age old question

Is this; 

Who are you? 

You are not the circumstances that created you

Or the circumstances you find yourself in

Even if you played a part 

    in getting yourself to those circumstances

You are likewise not

The circumstances of your mind

Those are simply guiding lights and emotions

Fixed like stars

A biological mystery over which

      you have no control

So then

If you are not that which is outer,

And if you are not that which is inner,

Then by process of elimination

the answer is simple, 

(And to me,

      it just sounds true)

You are not where you came from

You are what you do
