Walking In Blindness Tender...

Folder:
Desire

No time ever came more true

than when I first saw you clear.

It couldn't be the steps I take

that bring me so near you, I stop

to catch my breath from the vision.

The strength of your heartbeat

permeates my dreams and  interupts

my thoughts with daily regularity.

For it is only in my minds eyes that

your avatar exists.  But, in truth, I

have only the sound, smell, taste, and touch of you.

That recall can connect to the DreamWeaver

entity that you are.

Come into my parlour and let me adore you

properly (though not like property) and in

ways that excite and ignite as we unite.

For as I traverse my world, I pray for your

tenderness and guiding touch at your elbow

to see me through just one more night without you near.

In reality, you exist.  But, to clearly see

you, my mind's eye must be unshaded.

That is the price that allows the unseeing to

see most readily and with absolute, but tender, clarity.

Author's Notes/Comments:

Insired by that which has value in those we love but aren't readily aparent to the eye.

Thank you Joe for sharing this poem with me yesterday. Once again you have moved me to tears as I read the words you spoke. And then for your sharing with me the thoughts, feelings and inspirations behind these words that you have so eloquently expressed and put to paper! My heart resides so near and yet at times so far from view.

You, Joe are indeed an exceptional and gifted Man!!
