A View From My Soul

I love that picture...

  You Know...

The one with the naked woman

looking from the bridge;

Nature and beauty surrounds her:

All she sees is...

                 vast blackness.

She is that picture...the naked woman on the bridge...readying herself to jump...not seeing the hope and beauty in the world around here, only being able to see the blackness of hopelessness that is neverending for her. A very haunting piece...beautifully written.
Peace,
LadyHawke

Amberlee Carter's picture

I feel as though I have some personal relationship with this poem...Yet I am not the poetess in this case, I will say that poetry, when it is great enough will make us apart of itself...That is what you did with this piece, gave it a greatness which impacted me greatly..

Always,
Amberlee

Eric Cockrell's picture

a total letting go of inhibition and pretense... of the grasping view of self.... to the heart of all that breathes, and dances! very good poem eric

William M. Sowman's picture

Yes, she sees the blackness because she is looking into her self. If she would only look outward into the light she would see paradise! She is a lot like the woman of your comments on Janice Joplin. She is a lonely, tortured soul that cannot see the light. Always forced to look more deeply within than she should. To dwell in the world of the unknown, because she was tortured by the known. How tragic. Yes soul partners indeed! Separated by a vast divide. I pray love always walks by your side. Bill
