Bones - Mr. Bones - refers to death, but Bones is a valid last name too. I thought the "pie" reference was a sexual allusion - or not. Very clever penning - slc

Thanks, interesting take on Brother Bones. I hadn't thought of that angle. For me, it was a museful nickname. I attempted to strengthen the pull for the sexual allusion of "miracle pie" with "skirted with" and "colored candied quava."
