A Letter To My Child

God has given me a gift of wealth untold so very precious by words alone it can not be told.

As I sit here waiting to meet you with my heart so very full of joy, not knowing if you a girl or a boy?

So proud of God’s gift to me that it’s just got to be a true blessing.

I am sure that all my fears, and doubts will disappear when the curtain of birth is lifted; and my eye’s see your sweet face, nose, toes.  Then, I can hold you in my arms, kiss your precious little head, put you to my breast, and put you to bed.

That will be the beginning of my life. I can hardly wait to see you, to know whether to buy pink or blue, and to know all the things your grandmother told me about you were true.

I know I will probably make lots of mistakes that will make you fuss and fret, but don you forget that mothers are human and we do make mistakes from time to time.

But, never think for one second that I don’t love you. I will do my best. With God’s help we will survive and prosper and grow, and in time you will know where it is that I am coming from.

One thing you can be very sure of is, God and I love you will all our heart’s and we will never be apart, the three of us – HE, you, and me. So, sleep my love and grow and dream sweet dreams. You are my blessing. I will see you soon in the delivery room.

Love your Mom….
