* A Hided Secret *

                  i feel so dirty

                  and every time,

                 i take a shower i

                 can't wash this filth

                 away, its eating me up

                 from the inside even when

i try to go to sleep,

                 should i confess the

                 truth to  him and ruin

                 the only freindship we

                 have? or keep it hidden

                 and let another source

                 tell him it will crush

him like a ton of bricks.

To tell or not to tell.....
We all face this sort of decision far too regularly, sure the truth is the best policy but to save someone from hurting isn't that far more noble.....but holding secrets does eat away at one's soul.....i guess judgement comes into play and the wrong one could very well mean you nurse a broken heart over a loss, but at least you won't feel guilty about lying.....

Hmmmm....Secrets are good at some points...but not always. Sorry! Lost in thought. I like this, though I can't really relate to it due to lack of secrets and friends. That'll be it for now. If you critique a poem of mine that comes up I'll critique two times per critique ^^ Deal? See ya when I see ya.

Gail, this poem is obvious. If not resolved by now, tell the truth. We all try not to hurt another by easing a person down when we leave them or act like everything is alright when it isn't. Trust me the other person can see or at least sense something is amiss. To me, not knowing the truth but seeing the red flags hurts much more. Love this person enough to be honest with them regardless of the outcome. Oh, your poems are all skewed to the right. Try centering all your titles and see if that centers the poem. Good Luck.

Hmm. I am so bad at critiquing poems, but I also want to let people know when their's are as good as this one is...it's short and simple, yet haunting and true.

I really like this poem. If your friend doesn't think her friend should know then it's okay, but if it is killing her inside maybe she should tell her if her friend. A true friend should accept whatever you have done good or bad, but it is ultimatley up to your friend when to tell her. I wish her all the luck in the world and hope her friend can accept what she says.

Gail,
Better it come from the heart of the friend who has the secret then from some stranger who could hurt the friendship... if this friend is a true friend then they will find a way to work through it...
Sometimes secrets can eat away... great write...
Peace and Love..
