                 the flooded streets

                 are keeping you away

                 from me the water is

                 is so deep it flows

               over the streams as i

            walk thru it with my wet boots .

floods that hit my
area where i live i
love a good rain storm
because it makes rain
bows up into the skies .

This poem has different meanings for me. First there's the literal meaning of flooded rain making it impossible for anyone to get to you. Then, there's a hidden meaning of you using a flood as a defense mechanism to keep people from getting to close. On top of that there's the symbolism of flood and emotions. Yet there's the other view of this being a person's excuse to stay away from you. And yes there is the option of this being a reason for someone to stay away, but from your tainted life you don't realize you're not being given bullshit, but actual reason and heartache quakes. Great write.
