Such great sadness expressed. It obviously comes from the very depths of your soul. Loneliness is an emotion that leaves the psyche in an influx of emotions. For those who have never experienced this, it can not be understood. For those who have, there is compassion for the lonely all over the world.

A very nice poem dear Gail. I think it can speak for many of us who do indeed fell alone. In fact, we are never by ourselves as God is with the believing and non-believing. Your poem speaks from the heart, and that what makes it worth more than gold. A writer's greatest weapon is not the sword but the pen. Keep on fighting against the cruelties of the world with words stemming from your soul.
