* Broken Wings *

                   i long to fly

                    high among the

                   beautiful skies

                   fix my broken

                   wings so i can

                   sing and to fin

                    ally be free

                   from  a life of

                   pure  misery .

Gail,
what a beautiful write... to be able to fly away from that which causes you hurt and pain would be so nice... if only. I love the title and the poem fits so well...
Peace and Love..

George Schaefer's picture

This has a nice flow. It has a feel like a mix between some of the Chinese poets and e.e. cummings. nice job,

I wonder how a gal who likes to smile can be in misery. I guess it happens to the best of us. I like the short verses you publish from the Bible. They are quick and to the point. I see them as your words of encouragment to get you through such times as your poem here describes. I see you talk and open up with your poems. I like it
