"Slowly Kissing Loneliness"

by Jeph Johnson

your eyes look right at me
while I whisper in your ear
then my hand begins caressing all your smile

you turn your eyes toward China
and pretend you're unaware
that the man in front of you learns your profile

your nose crinkles up
into that cute little pout
as I brush aside your flowing hair rainbow

I move my lips still closer
now it's fallen past your mouth
I strip the strands while mining pots 'o gold

my lips are warmly melting
as they gently brush your cheek
being careful not to hasten the effect

though I'm sitting right beside you
my knees are feeling weak
my tongue has tasted both sides of your neck

I never want to finish
so I stop along the way
to whisper tenderly the reasons why

I live my life to love you
stronger each and every day
slowly kissing loneliness goodbye
