"Sarah, Before Springtime"

by Jeph Johnson

when she looks up
her eyes smile
like fluttering
fireflies dancing...
her lips stare
a lustrous pout
without knowing
what they see surprised...
and she drifts by
as the wind
(with a soft warm
whispering sigh)
exhales her name
into the night
under glowing
cloud-covered
moonbeams
Sarah's sleepy
sex-appeal
shouts some of her
subtlety to the stars
for after all
she's so close
to perfection
and inches closer
every second
she fails to see it...
her candlelight
flickers away
as she calms the winter storm
with her flame-
just by
caring-
just by
being
Sarah
and the warmth she provides
is more than she feels

This is a wonderful piece...my favorite part is this: just by caring- just by being Sarah My brother told me something a few years ago...it has always stayed with me...and "cheered me along". He said, "Some people are just fine, just the way they are...and you are one of those people." That is what this poem reminds me of. Very nice, thank you Jeph! :o)

What a poem! I am sure she was mush, much like I am right now :) Wonderfully seductive and sensual. A beautiful read!
