"The Fountain Lawn"

by Jeph Johnson

Defining Goldilox,
your kid's smile
eliminated uncertainty
...quickly the coquetter
suddenly passions halt
and haunted by iniquity
we amounted to a song;
borrowing phrases
to sing this bawdy tune...

You shined through raindrops
that hid all of the
heartfelt concern in me
and tricked the day so cleverly
the night felt the assault
tantamount to ridiculous
sprawled on the fountain lawn
your sorrow soon
explained my eyes of blue

Time no longer stops
like it did when
you upheld eternity
it ticks away to forever
and makes the past at fault
it is counted so meticulously
but can't be counted on
when tomorrow is now
a day deprived of you

He is the fourth bear

I don't like 4th bears, but very nice story...sad, but interesting.
