I think it is more like, you have to love yourself first which helps you love another better. Pretty sure your scenario doesn't make you Polly. Unless what you mean by loving yourself is masturbation. Then... Maybe.

There's always a shift in meaning because polyamorous refers to love and monogamous refers to sex. But to answer your question. Yes, I masturbate, so my words still apply!
