Daddy...you were my best friend

To me, you were the sun in the sky

I never thought there'd be an end

Until you weren't there when I began to cry



Daddy...it took me a while to realize that you

Were no longer going to be there

Suddenly I didn't know what to do

Without you, there was no reason to care



Daddy...through the years I finally found a way

I found a reason to care

I remembered what you used to say

"No matter what, I'll always be there"
