Bare-Naked Spirit

Bare-Naked Spirit

Karyn Indursky

I feel dirty
standing before undressing
eyes removing dignity
along with fabric
until my soul's
stripped completely bare
and wrapping arms
around my exposed
skin does nothing
to hide sacred
parts of me
I don't want
seen by you
or anyone else
under magnifying glass
judgment labeling my
bare-naked spirit.
