Yours Once Again

Your mind leaves you body and floats into a different place, a different time.

A time when you were his and he was yours.

A time when nothing bad could happen as long as you were in his arms.

A time when you felt completely safe and secure, because he was with you.

A time when after a fight, you could see his smile and forget every harsh word spoken.

A time when you could look into his eyes and get lost forever.

A time when nothing mattered except the love felt between you two.

A time when his arms wrapped around you could calm any pain.

And a time when the touch of is hand could dry your every tear.

You hear your name and your once again back in your body.

You are now in a time when none of that exists.

You will never again get lost in his eyes or feel secure in his arms.

You will never again feel the love between you two or have him calm your pain.

He will never again dry your tears or make you forget harsh words.

He will never again be yours and you will never again be his.

You’re all alone now.

He won’t be there for you any more.

He’s leaving before long, never again to return to your arms.

And just once again all you want is for him to kiss you and dry your never-ending tears.

To hold you close and say it’ll all be fine,

And most of all, you want him to be yours once again.

Yours once again: I like this poem,It gets me back to a time in life when nothing else seemed to matter.Just that ever important relationship. It's through these types of pains that we grow into knowing not so much who, but whats important.Keep writing from the heart, you can never go wrong! Jerome
