Lifetime in a Moment

In life there is a river and a boat
I travel the river without control
Unable to change the flow

You are a rock in the river of life
Bending all things around your will
Yet the flow  continues its course

To see, to taste, to hear, to hold
All the things that life unfolds
Is to stop the river of life

A new world unfolds itself
And a meaning is revealed
A Lifetime lived in a moment

The river continues its journey
But now I'm the rock in the river
And you ride the boat without control

A Poem by K. V.A.
