Mary Crisis

I was simply happy and vibrantly complex,

Then I was set among snakes and I tasted,

Was tasted, was taken,

Did wander past the hedge,

And wasted the suffering of the edge.

But anew, I should not wish to comply,

But comply I do,

To the luxury of fresh water,

A full stomach,

And a stomach emptied.
