You have a Crush

You have a Crush

Clark Steven Lupton

November 30, 2007

It’s not love

It’s not an infatuation

It feels the same

But you’re in a different situation

She’s always in your head

When you see her you always blush

She is always in your dreams

Because you have a crush

You’ve had crushes before

So many times in the past

They are very real

But they also rarely last

It starts when you see a girl

Who is such a beautiful looking view

You’re absolutely attracted to her

And wish she feels the same way too

How do you tell her

Without getting a rejection?

Just remember there other girls

You have a big selection

Author's Notes/Comments:

This is supposed to be a basis for a song. I bought Songwriting for Dummies which I'm reading to see if I have it in me to write songs, but I took out the chorus here to keep it a simple poem. Anyways, out of the top 100 songs of all time, 80% are love songs so I gave a similar topic a try. I also took out all the silly stuff I attached to the ending, my usual joking around which digressed from the point.I crushed the jokes.
