Love Infection



Deep into the mountains of my soul

You climbed the highest peak

And I struck gold

Staking your claim

And conquering my heart

Something you said you'd do from the start



I remember easily what you told me

That first day

You looked into my eyes and said

We were going to love each other forever

It brought back memories from another time

When forever went away

But I smiled anyway

And took your hand as we held each other



You were so beautiful

As you held on for dear life

Determined more than ever to one day be my wife

You slowly attacked me from every direction

I became weak from your love infection



I was your patient

And you were my doctor on call

I started believing I could walk again

Without being afraid to fall

Your medicine was love

Coming from inside your heart

As you mended this broken man

Who had been torn apart



Its amazing what the power of true beauty can heal

Makes everything blossom

And once again become so real

It allowed me the chance of a lifetime
