see me as a mountain

bursting with life

see me as a flower

dallying upon your eyes

see me as a rain

falling upon your cheek

see me as a star

your beacon in the dark

see me as a hearth

a cloak to give you warm

see me as a ladder

ascend through my loving steps

see me as a sea

my saline tranquility

shall wash away your anxiety





but please my love

don’t just see my existence



like i am to you

see me with a loving heart



there couldn’t be anyone

else but me—the only me

i am that soil you stand firm on

i may not be a perfect wife

but my love alone is

perfect enough

there’s no other

woman that can be

your perfect half

even if you wobble the

world upside down

there’s only you and I and us

nothing can come between us
