Sometimes absence makes the heart grow fonder
but sometimes absence makes one wonder
why there is nothing to regret
good riddance or at least nothing lost
no gain no loss but also no cost
makes you wonder
thoughts to ponder
all things happen for a reason
that may escape you
but may make sense
in the long run
when all is said and done
after all, what was gained what was lost
and at what cost
and was it really worth it
if there was a price to pay
I highly doubt it if things didn't turn out that way
I trust things all work out in the end
in the meantime gotta just pretend
that all is right
I'll be all right
I am a survivor
life is too short
gotta stop thinking so much
just let it happen
if it does fine
if not, not gonna whine
accept things as they come
refuse to be hum drum
creative souls
have too many goals
that are too high
that is why
they are so hard to reach
even if you are tall
you feel so small
I gave it my all
pam i really liked this one. it couldnt not be more truer , it is hard when one is away from someone they love. i think things are more swallowed when u see it on paper rather than pondering it in your mind. great piece.
Hi Pam. Sorry it took so long for me to get here, but I'm glad I finally did. You're an excellent poet. JUst read the first 7 today. Loved 57 Chevy. It put me in a good frame of mind before work begins. Would love to hear it with music. Absence has occupied much of time this morning-really makes me think. And AKA My Name Is Pam is so spriteful (is that a word?) in that it brought a smile to my face and was cutely clever. I miss you backwards map:) I'll be checking in here often. Take care and keep writing.
hey there pam, this is the first one i read lol...well hope ur days are going better now...the rhyming was good until the end it kinda lost it, i dunno if "gonna and gotta" is aprrpriate bc it does fit well, i like this poem tho it relates to how i can feel sometimes
pam, sorry it's been a while, ive been really busy with the end of the tri and what not:), but i really like this! i think that it is very relatable to.
