A.K.A. My Name is Pam

My name is Pam

I'm a backwards map

I have no sense of direction

I am also an amp to make that loud and clear

Do you hear?

My name is Pam

I am a backwards map

I have no sense of direction

Can you guide me please?

I need guidance

Must I use my amp again to make that loud and clear

Do you hear?

Guide me

Confide in me

Are you listening to me?

Can you help me?

I am Pam

the backwards map

I use my amp

to make that loud and clear

Do you hear?

Do you care?

What was that about?

Must I scream and shout?

Must I use my amp

to cross over the ramp

of the mixed up and misguided and lost

and at what cost?

Poetry is free

free to be me

free to use words

but are they heard?

Who knows? Who cares?

Who lives? Who dares?

oh well

time will tell....

Author's Notes/Comments:

This was written recently...spontaneous combustion....just something I used to say to introduce myself so people could remember my name...My name is Pam I'm a backwards map I have no sense of direction...it amused them and they remembered me...I am bemused by the truth of it...

the backwords map is cute! i like that a lot! it's descriptive of many people who don't know what they're doing...so still relatable

Backwards map...eh? I like it nice way of describing yourself. I'd say this would be a self portrait for you, and a very well done one perhaps. I like how you formed the stanzas at the end...they really enfasize what's important to you. And as I tell everyone...KEEP WRITING :

Destiny Sadler's picture

I hear
I care
This isn't
A dare

I'm here
For you
Always
I'll help you through

Lean on me
We'll make it through
Through thin
And through glue

Don't worry
It's okay
The light will come
The next day

We'll make it through
The dark and gloom
Stay by my side
And we'll throw away doom

Just remember
I'm here for you
So think of me
When you are blue

the backwards map describes us all till we know what path we will individually choose. Great metaphor for self description. You have great talent keep writing!
