Oh Seagull

Oh seagull,I love to watch you fly

You soar so high up in the sky

And skim the waters of the beautiful blue ocean

Your beauty and grace

Add wonder to this place

You make it paradise

Oh seagull, you soar so high

Won't you please teach me to fly

You look so carefree

What can your secret be

The changing winds don't blow your course

Your energy stems from some secret source

I wish I could find it and use it to

Make all my impossible dreams come true

Author's Notes/Comments:

written long ago...I always loved to watch the seagulls at Lake Michigan...they remind me of dolphins...to me seagulls are flying dolphins...I love dolphins...I would love to swim with them in the ocean someday or at least in my dreams...anyways...I am inspired by seagulls and dolphins so guess I better write a poem about dolphins and give em equal billing huh?

I think the seagull is the best example of teaching us how to soar by just being ourselves
