Memories Never Die

I remember when you were spritely

Then we used to go out nightly

Now you're weak and pale and thin

Oh,my love, please don't give in

I don't know what I'd do without you

I'd sit and think of you the whole day through

Remembering the times we shared

The joy we had, the way you cared

And I'm sure that this is the case:

No one else could take your place

You will always be in my heart

God's most beautiful work of art

Farewell, my love, your time is near

I'll forever hold you in my memory dear

Thanks for always being my friend

Up until the very end

Author's Notes/Comments:

Written ages ago...every time I read it, it makes me cry...so sad but touching the soul and heart...it is hard to deal with death in general....heavy sigh....sobs...ugh..
