Always On the Outside

I'm always on the outside lookin in

I never feel quite like I fit in

I'm always on the outside lookin in

I never feel quite like I fit in

No matter who I'm with or where I'm at

I never seem to be the one at bat

Always on the outside lookin in

I never feel quite like I fit in

I compromise I make a deal

Nobody cares just how I feel

Always on the outside lookin in

I never feel quite like I fit in

I haven't found my niche in life

that tends to cause me lots of strife

always on the outside lookin in

I never feel quite like I fit in

always on the outside lookin in

I never feel quite like I fit in

Author's Notes/Comments:

I wrote these words to fit music when I fell into a rock band ages ago...20 yrs or so but the words still have meaning to me.

Hey. Thanks for everything you've said to me the last couple of days. This poem really relates to what I'm going through right now, but I know it will pass:) If we stick together, we can make it through anything:)

I'm starting to become convinced that Life's basic truths are all paradox. Like it's a cosmic joke or something. For example: if the majority of us feel like outsiders looking in, then are we really the outsiders? Or is it these people who feel like they belong that are really kidding themselves? ;)

Hey, it's funny, I thought this was a song, and then I read your comment and IT IS A SONG!!! Sorry, I'm blonde sometimes! But, I can relate to it. It's how I feel: "always on the outside lookin in
I never feel quite like I fit in" totally relate! Anyway, your words flow well and I like it! Filled with so much meaning! Awesome! 8*)

I know this feeling. This poem, which really reads like a song, expressed a lot of people's feelings on a day to day basis. Most of us are just too afraid to say so.
