Abstract Essence

Busy signal right now, write now, right now, write now

Now or later it doesn't matter time is of the essence

The essence of what the essence of now the essence of life

Blankets of snow cover the ground of now

It sleeps yet it's awake

What is now really, what happens later, what does it matter

There's a reason for everything but I haven't found it yet

Lost and found, found yet lost

Unaware I'm aware of what's going on around me

It circles my consciousness

Black and white in living color can you dig it

Ya I dug the hole so deep now I can't even sleep

Dream on and on and on and on but remember what you learn

By learning experience...by experiencing learn

The game of life has no winners or losers you just play the game

Win or lose you're part of it go with it

Missing in action...in action missing the point...

Full circle turn around find all questions and answers

There's a reason for everything but I haven't found it yet...

Patience is a virtue I don't have...

Oh well...you can't win them all

But you can try and see what happens...

Whatever happens will it's meant to be

It doesn't matter what I mean it's true anyway

Why bother with trivial pursuit

What a waste of time and space

Go with what matters and matters will take care of themselves

Can you ?

Author's Notes/Comments:

found this abstract one I wrote alone a long time ago...enjoy...By the way, I didn't even realize that it worked forward and backwards...I thought only the three I wrote with my two friends did that until Emily pointed that out to me with her comment and I read it backwards and was like wow, how did that happen? By backwards I mean read the bottom line first and work your way up...not completely backwards ya know what I mean like...
can you
go with what matters and matters will take care of themselves, etc...pretty cool, huh? Thanks for pointing that out Em...also known as cabasaexpert who comments on lots of my stuff here...Pam

A poem worthy of the beatniks! This poem does not rely on rhyming as many of Pam's poems do, but she still manages to draw one in on the dizzying circus called life. I particularly like the ending, which certainly caught me off-guard! Keep it up--or down, or sideways, or whatever expression means positive in your "not normal" world!

Very profound poem, works well backwords as well as forwards. Excellent work.
