A Safe Place

I'm always tripping over things when I don't need them

as soon as I put them in a safe place they're never heard from again

When I put something where I think it belongs instead of where it didn't

When I need and am looking for it seems to be magically hidden

I have plenty of things that I know are around here somewhere

but finding them is another thing it just seems so unfair

that rule about seek and you shall find

sometimes drives me out of my mind

2016 April PAD Challenge: Day 24

By: Robert Lee Brewer | April 24, 2016

For today’s prompt, write a poem in which something is lost and then regained. Maybe a relationship is lost and then regained, or a special keepsake. Maybe it was stolen and won back. Or maybe it was in your possession the whole time, but you just didn’t know it. #aprpad #NaPoMo #pamschwetz #poetry prompt 24
