whether sunlight on the water
or moonlight in the eyes
the draperies of romance
hold many a sumptuous surprise
quixotic Casanovas
take liberties with circumstance
ah, but vigilant beauties from
many prior run ins
learn the varying steps of
such indirect dance
relationships are symptomatic
of the family dynamic
they hold precedence though
over the wholly mundane and inorganic
though ones heart hunts alone
each time such need calls it to hunt
the brain in turn learns with each step taken
where promise meets the rut of the road
it is there where deals get broken and
expectations are forsaken
why, in such manners of speaking
there are such tributaries all over the globe
that vibrant but oh so necessary  inner exchange
with others
whose senses have shifted within themselves to
just as suddenly awaken.........
