FREE FALL'S PLUNDER

I fell asleep
disappointed
clawing my heart
out of the chasm
of regret
over moments wasted
the tears did drip
as self castigation clambered
to grip
while his thoughts
in saturated free fall
to the floor
of misunderstanding
all too sadly went
and there they lay
until logic returned
and with that lending
of logic's experience
anger was vacated
and the warmth of his love
he gladly reaffirmed .................

Author's Notes/Comments: 

This poem is written about a friend of mine, her story of being in love and being sadly disappointed for a time and how things miraculously for her lover and her turned out alright were the inspiration for this poem. The depth of her emotions inspired me to a great degree.
