LONGING'S COMPASS

Folder:
JOURNAL # 41

love in her own way
is a maven
a sweet manipulator
to all in spirit
the hard angles of life
she can certainly soften
yet doubts of all kinds
plague every corner
scars in exchange for tears
is at best
a lousy bargain
no pledge nor promise
can ever take the place
of that one perfect
unforgettable kiss
but doubt not that kiss
for it awaits thee
in sensuous gauzy wrap
lingering just a moment longer
out of reach of each our eager lips
longing is but a compass
that guides sweet madness
to stay the course of intent
the will leads the way
and when it is doubled
by such mutuality
sweet collision
is the only forgone conclusion
more simply put
soon thine lips
will be melded most lovingly
to mine
from what you say
even God whispers this
very reality to you
you so faithful and tough
dare not question its
velocity and direction.............

Lovely compass, lovely longings...

Dear Melissa,
I am happy, you found tears in exchange for dried up scars that don't feel... I hope though, that those were tears coupled with happiness and longing for your next reunion or was it first kiss? The recipient of this lovely poetry, is one lucky man... Serves him right to continue embracing air if he doesn't get this... My dear friend, you are wearing your heart on your sleeves for him... May your longings be his too...
I wish I can write something as eloquent as this...
Simply Beautiful Melissa!
