toppling forecasts
she came
wider and longer
certainly
but
far less damaging
than
her handlers claimed
fierce looking
she appeared
as many lives in her
path she changed
but for the majority
a sigh of restorative relief
they gave
when the winds died down
and her rains lethargically waned
she could have been
a lot bitchier
I read one blogger say
'Irene Indeed'
she cried a lot
but then merely limped away
one formerly mean ass dame.................
