near carnal in its abstraction
similarly stated
yet subtle to a less than
trained reader's eye
still taken even today
as one of the most
well crafted of
childhood nursery rhymes
hey diddle diddle
why, it almost sounds
quite dirty in the middle
but to the evolving aging reader
it is an 'Exquisite Composition'
of wit and word play
guaranteed to be memorable
building on the basis
that even the most impossible
of scenarios
can be brilliant, catchy,classy
and timeless
that takes an agile mind that
constantly jumps his pen
over the respected lines
fine young minds will enjoy
the jauntiness of his fervor
for timeless bedtime readings to come
