ON A LAZY SUNDAY AFTERNOON

chirpy chatter
clever companion to
suggestive
winged laughter
two subtle strangers
finding
frank amusement
in natural, easy company
braided with mirth
and amiable wit
what better a matter
than to enjoy the
interaction
a moment
so to flatter
an otherwise
typical
non descriptive

dull script
some words typed
can make even
the most somber heart
manage to pull

Author's Notes/Comments:

was cleaning out my old drafts in emails. I came across some very old first chats ( people I have chatted with once had a wonderful witty good time in word play with them and then they vanished never to chat with me again) I re read through a couple and got a good laugh and this poem came from a tiny speck of joy I got from such old conversations in a time that was very empty for me as my love was so far from me and so out of contact due to his work. Very much in a way it was like finding a small match and lighting it for a moment while standing in the darkest cave where there was no light. For that moment while that tiny match burned I was almost okay, was even able to laugh for a minute. I see such things as that as tiny gifts from God.
