THE PAGE'S JOURNEY

Folder:
JOURNAL # 37

I laugh now just to think
that my mere
miss hearing of an old Jackson Brown song
gave me the  title to this very poem
'Pages Turning'
but for me
another path groomed
out of pens and papers and writing
and thoughts
where rhymes string together the
hope and despair out of
the clutter from being distraught
while weaving their truth from previous
myths assumed
my own boulevards are proudly on display
whether or not I really meant them that way
still
to others their alley ways I reveal
the garbage and the litter
slowly picked up and reassembled
into something alas worth seeing
a story of sorts worth somehow now being
told
some semblance of sense being made
from the chaos of old
tempered out in some unexplainable way
into poetic hinges of gold...................

Author's Notes/Comments:

Was watching a Jackson Brown concert on PBS and heard him singing a song I thought it was saying the page's journey but it turns out it was Pages turning and I thought The Page's Journey would be a great title for a poem if one came to me and then this one did.
