she wore a long black leather coat

bad clothes and even worse looking shoes

her name as I recall it was Ruth

but we always called her Ruse

she was the meanest woman I knew around

black as the ace of spades

but she reigned queen supreme

when it came to sound

in even my adult mind

she rarely fades

the woman could leave a visual impression

upon the blind

with a golden voice that was nothing short

of being that divine....................
