JOURNAL #14 quite mysterious was his mirage
a nostalgic within an enterage
destined to be an irregular in a Victorian age\
prone to being spoiled
conquests were the prosperous norm
among men of his caliber
a deadly steady on
who knew no personal inherited wealth
merely its hangers on
a mirror himself to those grovelers
to the well to do
avid male mistresses to the art of the woo
contrite gigolos through and through
we would rush to judge and label their greedy
acts today
yet they, just like such an industrious he
rose none too unpleasantly to be
quite well known
among their nefarious own
in a slighted sick and twisted way
why, they were the go getters of their day
Byron, Shelley, Wilde kindly all please
stand even if discourteously aside
for wayward Zoofin carries his own though
not clearly remembered nor so well known
pungent pride saddened by
an indestructible wit
though he once only slightly socially smelled
it is said that among the elite hangers on
he was it
and as in equal high regard among his careless
kind he was truly held...............
