HEAVENLY COURTSHIP

rocky perch

sky in turmoil

bird less cries

overhead

evil unleashed

the land

caught

in the wrath of the season

so beautifully dramatic

if I could only stop peeing

my pants long enough

to fully enjoy

such unexpected show

Broadway would be jealous!

jumping up

I swiftly pray

allow me to remember

all of this.......this......

HEAVENLY COURTSHIP

every angry detail

as I dart back

to the rented cabin's

beckoning door

rain saturates my every

nerve's excitement

alas

once inside

safety's walls

I am ecstatic

my fervent prayer

running across the lawn

did not fail

these words

sweet loyal suitors

that they are

once again

have risen

to champion my eye's cause

so I write this

in such thankful awe...........

Author's Notes/Comments:

I wrote this about a dream I had.
I am being quite faithful to the unfolding of the
dream. I was stunned when I was able to pen this poem
from it. Again, using the less is more approach.

absolutly wonderful!!!

You are absolutely right - to remember & to pen a dream as you have done so here, takes a lot of imagination & talent.

Well done.
