in the stolen
predawn morn
so crisp
like the chill
of fresh lettuce
increasing magnetic light
revealed an over head
otherworldly galactic
meteor show
the lesser gods of
other culture's lore
parried as
their chaotic swords met
infusing lightning itself
into the weaponry and war
unfolding
Orion himself
captained the celestial battle
losses were tallied
star clusters divided up
the heavens minded their course
allowing the sky children
their pretend moments of victory
though still quite stunned
was i
'The Unexpected Witness'
to such aerial  epic.................
