~The Sandy I Knew~

The Sandy I knew wasn't greedy,
and once
when I saw her finish
a last piece of cake
she bowed her head
towards the empty plate
and prayed
not for cake eternal
but that it's baker
be happy, so
after she gave
me what she had
(it was very nice)
I said
"goodbye"
and that
was that.
